Atari is the New Parent, 1982; collaborative, interactive satellite performance with Aysha Quinn & Gary Lloyd, created for the Artist & Television Conference Cablecast, Oct. 22, 1982. The Atari collaboration was a 6 minute piece with 4 basic characterizations of Twentieth Century America – past, present, and two futures: Sturgeon – manifest destiny, Lloyd – current dilemma and Quinn – post holocaust victim or as spirit of a new age. The performance tele-linked Lloyd in Los Angeles with Quinn and Sturgeon in Iowa City, IA, creating an electronic synthesis of their script switched live from Lexington, KY for the national Artist & Television Conference Cablecast on the Learning Channel.
