Atari is the New Parent, 1982; collaborative, interactive satellite performance with John Sturgeon, Aysha Quinn & Gary Lloyd, created for the Artist & Television Conference Cablecast, Oct. 22, 1982.
The collaboration was a 6-minute piece with 4 basic characterizations of Twentieth Century America: past, present, and two futures: Sturgeon-manifest destiny & industrialization, Lloyd-current dilemma and Quinn-post holocaust victim or as spirit of a new age. The performance tele-linked Lloyd in Los Angeles with Sturgeon & Quinn in Iowa City, IA - in an electronic synthesis of their script switched live from Lexington, KY for a national cablecast on the Learning Channel.

NOTE: in the internet-conference call, linked era of today, such technological interaction might be considered common place. However, in 1982 the opportunity and expense of garnering the interactive cable/satellite equipment and airtime rendered was rare, particularly for artists.
